Happy New Year (2020)

Hello my friends Happy New Year 2020. I know what you are going to say "this blog has been dead for about a year!!!" Yes, it's been that long, but that is because 2019 was a very ruff year for me, I've been absent from many other social media like Etsy and YouTube mainly but still very active on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The good news is that I'm back, better than ever with new ideas and if you have notice a revamp to the blog, TatteredRoses41 on Etsy has also change image since I've been drawing more digitally, now I have the ability to create what I've always like to do.

As you can see we got new characters on the banner let me introduce them to you, that is Little Mcki (the on the left) and Little Yaky (the one on the right) these characters will be my branding from now on with TatteredRoses41 and all social media. I've been sketching allot and mainly learning digitally how to draw and illustrate cartoons which is something I've always liked. Last year I've got a big drawing tablet that is amazing and I've learned allot, this year I kind of wanted to be more mobile so I've got an Apple iPad and is amazing it has become a extraordinary tool for me to draw and create.

Anyway everything else is ok, working hard for sure and trying to live life the best I can with my family. Nevertheless I wish you all well for this year 2020 and hope to give you more blog post and be more creative in the way.

Operation Write Home - Sketch Challenge #123

I've decide to join Operation Write Home and I did my first attempt on doing a nice card specially for this Holiday of Memorial Day 2012. If you don't know what Operation Write Home is I encourage you to visit their site an read what is all about. I think is a great cause and allot of people has been involved. Now for my first challenge with them I did select Challenge #123 , it came out pretty good I think and is a very elegant subtle look. the challenge was easy to accomplished and I'm very happy doing this for a nice cause. Jackson Digital Expressions

I don't know if some of my readers notice a new badge that says Jackson Digital Expressions ? Well let me explain, I have join this wonderful blog that has allot of great people with allot of talent. Now this is a little different from what I've done in my art and I wanted to join them to step out of my comfort zone and start doing new things. The way I have discover them was through a YouTuber named RJ and I seen his work is super fun and very creative. So I gave it a shot and apply for the Design Team, so will see how it goes. So far I just did a beauttiful card for one of their fun challenge. So here is my entry or the July challenge. I did this cute card using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers...

July Challenge - "Texture" by Tando Creative

So here is my Texture Challenge that Tando Creative has post it on their blog. This is a called the Mixed Media Portrait and is ver similiar to something I did a couple a months ago, but htis time I have included more elements and open my creativeness to the max.
