Vilda Stamps Design DT Project - Charlie Chaplin Card

This is my first Vilda Stamps Design Team project, is a card made with a Charlie Chaplin cling Rubber Stamp that you can find at http://wwww.vildastamps.com I love the outcome of the card, is very cool.

I've colored Charlie Chaplin with my Copics Markers, I've used Distress Ink for the tag and some yarn to embellish. The paper is a musical writing paper made by Recollection, the reason I've chosen this paper is cause I used the sentiment Smile which is a song that Charlie Chaplin wrote. I've also used Tim Holtz on the edge die Gears to create that vintage Steampunk look.

"Smile" is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for the 1936 Charlie Chaplin movie Modern Times. Chaplin composed the D minor music, while John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954. In the lyrics, based on lines and themes from the film, the singer is telling the listener to cheer up and that there is always a bright tomorrow, just as long as they smile. "Smile" has become a popular standard since its original use in Chaplin's film. The song, originally sung by Nat King Cole, charted in 1954. Singer Sunny Gale also covered the song, sharing sales with Cole, as shown in the music trade Cashbox. It was also covered by Cole's daughter, Natalie, on her 1991 album, Unforgettable... with Love.

I'm also showing you a throwback picture of myself with Charlie Chaplin at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida in the 90's, the picture is a little fuzzy but still can see me. You got to love it :)

My First Vilda Stamps Design Team Package

Well after a long wait for this package over seas from Sverige, I've finally got my first Vilda Stamps Design Team package. WOW! Love the stamps, it was worth the wait big time, I have to thank Anita and Ulrika for follow ups on the package, I was very worried cause it took allot of time to get here.

Anyway, the stamps came with 1 sheet of EZ Mounting foam. I got allot of work to do to have them ready so I can start making my projects. The Stamps I've selected are very nice, love the steampunk, retro, vintage feel they have the Ladies from Vilda Stamps also added some other extra stamps that are Christmas theme and I have to say that they are beautiful, not only they have read my mind about wanting Christmas stamps cause I don't have any, but sent me beautiful ones and they also added 2 little ones a butterfly and an Anchor just prefect. They also added an Acrylic Block so that was a nice bonus as well.

I have lots of stamps now that I can play with by stamping them and coloring them in my next projects, I can't wait.

THANK YOU!!!! To Vilda Stamps for such a wonderful welcoming! Happy crafting!!!!
