Compendium of Curiosities Volume 2 - Marbled Stains

So this will be my 2nd challenge out three that Studio L3 is hosting. Challenge #3 is from the Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2 Marbled Stains technique, page 46 from Tim Hotlz. You can actually get this book at his website . The winner will get a  $25 gift certificate from www.eclecticpaperie.com. If you would like to participate visit Studio L3.

So far this was very fun to do, I've used a tag again for this challenge and I've use Vintage Photo, Antique Linen Walnut Stain and Tea Die all the browns that I have. Some paper roses that I've stained with Vintage Photo and hand wrote the sentiment. The free image was taken from Feubels-Frebbies, I actually create the environment focused on the coloring of the image of the vintage lady. I've also use some Tim's Rubber Stamps and another set of stamp called around the world can't remember the name of the company who made it.

Overall I'm very happy with this tag very different form what I've been doing lately, love it!!!

Compendium of Curiosities 2 - Pockect Watch

So for this technique chosen for this week’s CC2C Challenge on the Studio L3 blog is the Pocket Watch .  The instructions for the technique can be found on page 35 of Tim Holtz’s book Compendium of Curiosities Volume 2. Love the pocket watch is such an amazing thing to do and then yet I feel is like a little treasure that has disappear in time. Now I've always find pocket watches very sexy and attractive in a man, once in my life I met a man that would use a pocket watch and I was so fascinated with his style, this is such and old tradition but men around the World don't consider this an attractive watch to wear or carry. I have to thank Tim for bringing this tradition back in a Vintage way like everything Tim does an I can keep one forever. So for this spectacular piece I've used as the background for my Pocket Watch Tim Holtz Paper, some metal embellishments metal clock plate, spinner and small key, the stamped number 63 comes from a Tim Holtz Clear Rubber Stam
